Operation Christmas Child is in full swing! We delivered more than 120 shoeboxes to the local drop-off locations in Sneads Ferry and Wilmington last month! Thank you for supporting this ministry of EAMC.

Forty-eight affiliates and friends of the Chapel will be volunteering at the Samaritan’s Purse Processing Center in Boone, N.C., December 9-10. We will join tens of thousands of volunteers who will work in the eight processing centers located across the United States. The millions of shoeboxes collected will be carefully inspected before being placed in cartons and sent around the world.

Samaritan's Purse uses these shoeboxes to bring joy and the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ to children, their families and their communities. It doesn't just end with the shoebox gift. Millions of boys and girls will participate in a 12-lesson, follow-up discipleship program for shoebox recipients where they can learn to follow Christ and share Him with others.

One last suggestion for what to pack in your shoebox comes from Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse– “The most important thing you can send with a box is prayer.”

If you still have a shoebox to return, please bring it to the Chapel by December 8 and we will take it with us to Boone.
