OUR NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CURRICULUM Starting September 2, our new three-year Sunday School curriculum will be Bible Studies for Life from LifeWay. “Bible Studies for Life is designed to help people of all ages connect God’s Word to their daily lives in an intentional way. As Paul writes in Ephesians 5:15-16, it is God’s design for us to walk intentionally as each day presents us with opportunities to be like Christ to the people around us.”
The curriculum is the same for all the classes. This offers a great opportunity to further explore the lessons in weekly discussions with your families.
Sunday School class locations/times:
- Toddlers: Nursery, north wing of the Chapel, open 8:35-11:15 a.m.
- Children: Fellowship House, ground floor, 8:50-9:45 a.m.
- Adults: Fellowship House, top floor, 8:50-9:45 a.m.
This summer the toddler, children and adult Sunday School classes have completed a three-year chronological study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation called The Gospel Project. All ages discovered how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still does today, compelling them to join the mission of God.
RECOGNITION AND AWARDS At our final covered-dish supper this summer on August 22, the Christian Education Committee would like to recognize everyone who has participated in Bible studies, Sunday School classes or Children’s Church and thank them for their commitment to Christian education for the glory of God.
Children who are completing all three years of The Gospel Project curriculum will receive a special recognition that night. The new Sunday School study materials will be available for preview, as well.
Final Covered-dish Supper of the Summer, September 2, 6:30 p.m. at the Assembly Building, 720 Channel Blvd, Topsail Beach. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Come join us! Questions? Contact Jean Bell or Julia Sherron.
