Seelybanks Brock

Hi! My name is Seelybanks Brock. I am a rising freshman at UNCW. I grew up in Raleigh, NC but have spent my summers at Topsail Beach for as long as I can remember. During the school year, I am either playing volleyball or spending time with friends and family. But I am happiest during my time spent at Topsail Beach, where you can almost always find me out on the boat.

Attending a Christian school and growing up in the church, I have learned a lot about the importance of surrounding yourself with a Christian community. I believe also that serving Jesus and others is our only hope for true joy. My hope is that while serving the youth, I will be able to communicate these beliefs while helping to provide the fun and fellowship I have enjoyed during my time in the youth group. I am so excited to get to serve as the Youth Minister Assistant for a second summer. My prayer is that as I assist Mary Grace, we will use our experience from last summer to share our love of Jesus in action, providing a welcoming place to make new and lasting friendships.

My favorite verse is Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

Mary Grace Teachey

Hi! My name is Mary Grace Teachey. I am a rising Senior at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, with a major in Interior Design. I grew up in Fayetteville, NC, and spent my summers at Topsail Beach. I enjoy exploring Raleigh and grabbing coffee with friends, but during the summer you can find me on a wakeboard or sandbar!

Involvement at the Summit Church in RDU has taught me what it means to be a disciple-making disciple of Christ. Being a part of the community at school has shown me the value of building believers up. In response, building a strong community of believers on the island of Topsail Beach has become a passion of mine. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the program I care so deeply for and serve the youth at Emma Anderson for an additional summer. My prayer is that this summer is filled with growth, encouragement, and community.

My favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
