Rev. Tanner is a retired United Methodist minister and former youth minister for EAMC in the 1970s. In 1991 he co-founded The Faith & Politics Institute, a nonpartisan interfaith organization in Washington, D.C., which serves members of Congress, their staff, and others professionally related to Capitol Hill. His Scripture reading is from I Corinthians 13-1-13.
