Youth Minister 2018-2020 | (p) 910-685-1277

Hi! In May 2019 I graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and American History. This past May, I graduated from UNC with my Master of Arts degree in Teaching and I am in the process of applying to elementary teaching jobs!

I grew up in Wilmington, N.C., and even though my family moved to Charlotte, N.C., following my senior year of high school, I still consider Wilmington and the beach to be my “home”.

I have participated in sports my whole life and I enjoy anything that keeps me active. During the summer, I love going out on the boat and waterskiing or wake boarding, but I also enjoy being able to lie out on the beach and read or play land sports.

At UNC, I learned what it means to be a disciple of Christ and how I can use what I have learned to go and make disciples on campus and in the world. Being the Youth Minister last summer allowed me to steward those skills to the youth of Topsail Island.

I am so excited to return this summer to continue sharing my faith with the youth and seeing the ways in which they help me grow in my faith and in my relationship with Christ.

My favorite Bible verse is from Psalms 19:1—

“The Heavens declare the glory of God, but the skies above proclaim His handiwork.”

Youth Assistant Summer 2019-2020

Hello all, I’m very excited to rejoin Devin this year as her assistant. This year I’m a rising Junior at N.C. State University majoring in Electrical Engineering.

In my free time I enjoy water skiing, boating, reading, food in general, and attending Cru events at N.C. State. Cru is an on campus Christian organization that focuses on introducing Christ to new students and forming Bible Studies for Christian students to stay connected to a group of believers.

I can’t wait to meet you either in church, at youth events, or even on the water.

My favorite verse is Psalm 24:1-2 because it talks about the water and reminds us how, no matter what happens, our God is sovereign and remains in control —

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.”
